Rose Collage

I don't know about you, but I have always loved to color. I've recently fallen in love with one of the TAC Hostess Level A stamps called Rose Collage. Tonight I used my Tombow markers and went to town. Then embossed the entire thing with two coats clear embossing powder.

The ribbon looks really too orange in this scanned picture (in real life it is a pretty golden yellow) Plus it's very shiny from the embossing powder.

Last week at a Fun Shop, I showed the ladies how to make a Faux Silk card with the same image...
We stamped the rose on tinted tissue paper which matched our More Mimi card stock so beautifully. We used glue sticks to adhere it to a small piece of card stock & then we got to layering the image. (I really should remember to bring a camera to the Fun Shops - there are real works of art getting produced while we have our stamping fun!)

My First Bella Card

I'm very happy with the outcome - especially since my husband's comment was (and I quote) "Looks like a designer card." I had a little too much ink when I stamped her and got a big ugly smudge in the middle of her sign. I remembered my stamping mentor saying "Don't throw it away, cover it in card stock."

Stamps from Stamping Bella, colored in with my beloved Sharpie fine point markers and paper from The Angel Company.

Getting Ready for Christmas...

I love Christmas. (Don't you?)
Here is a card I've been demonstrating at my Fun Shops. The designer paper is from the Rustic Chic collection with the TAC stamp Joy embossed in silver. Simple with a little "wow factor".
I showed this technique to some ladies who are new to stamping and they got sooo excited about the embossing - it was a BLAST!

One of my favorites...

Just a quick post - yes, I'm still here and crafting...just not as much as I would like.
Here is a card which was part of the stationery box I made for one of my girlfriends.

My First Fun Shop

I've been a "demonstrator" for The Angel Company for about a year. I joined to support my rubber stamping habit and really wasn't looking to generate income from the endeavor, but opportunity came knocking on my door and I answered. This evening I cased a design from the current catalog and got all the supplies ready to go for one of the two cards I plan to demonstrate next Saturday.

I have make sure I use stamp sets and designer papers which are still available. I used my beloved Scor-pal to give the card stock some texture and used some of the funky Rustic Chic designer paper that I love so much. One of the coolest things about the TAC stamps is that you use clear acrylic blocks to stamp, so you can see where your image is going to go. Translation: your can cut your shapes and then easily stamp on them. (that's what I did on the oval piece above.)

I'm really starting to get excited about doing the demonstration - can you tell?

**LATER**
Okay, so here is the second quick & easy card I'm going to show. A cute little buggy colored with Prismacolor pencils (I just LOVE to color!)

Happy Birthday, Dear Susan....

...happy birthday to you!

In my haste to get her gift and card to her on time, I forgot to photograph the birthday card. Anyway, here's a pic of the altered DVD case complete with notepad AND a mechanical pencil.

A Bunch of Cards

With coordinating envelopes.

A friend of mine has been after me to make cards for her. After several hours of playing around at my crafting table - here are some of the results.

I went positively nutty with the patterned paper, but I'm pretty happy with the results.

On the envelope flap for this one, I made a teeny, tiny envelope with a heart, just like on the stamped greeting.

Cute Card...

Getting cards to people on time has always been a challenge for me (even before I started making my own). Anyway, here's one that is going in the mail tomorrow.

I used SU designer paper, a couple of SU punches, an SU stamp along with some TAC stamps.

My Take on the 4x4 Coaster Calendar

So, in case you haven't noticed, I march to the beat of a different drummer and he's keeping a very slow tempo. I know January is almost over, but I finally finished this project:

The first one I made at Stamp Club had chipboard coasters as the covers (so it could be a desktop time-keeping device). I wanted to be able to hang this on a refrigerator, so all the pages are card stock, some with designer paper, stickers, seasonal stamps, and computer printed clip art images.

I got to use my beloved Cropodile to punch the holes. I used a hefty piece of silver stretchy elastic cord (recycled off of a Christmas gift) then fed the ends through a barrel bead and super glued the puppy.

Oh, the mini-calendar pages were generated using the program that can be found here http://www.red-castle.com/software/fw/printcal.htm

The Boss' Birthday is Coming!

A lunch sack, some manly DP, some Classic car stamps on a paint chip, a couple of sheets of embelished tissue paper, a piece of blue ribbon and

TA DA !!!

and I bet you are wondering what's inside - come on, admit it -- well, any guesses?

Hint: it could be thought of as a type of fuel.
