A Bunch of Cards

With coordinating envelopes.

A friend of mine has been after me to make cards for her. After several hours of playing around at my crafting table - here are some of the results.

I went positively nutty with the patterned paper, but I'm pretty happy with the results.

On the envelope flap for this one, I made a teeny, tiny envelope with a heart, just like on the stamped greeting.

Happy Retirement...

A friend of ours is having his retirement party tonight. I've packed up my crafting supplies to a point that I'm not quite sure where everything is, so (being the resourceful mixed media artist that I am) I found a card that I did in a card club which seemed to fit the bill - found some paper to make and envelope {I was able to find the matching stamp set to the card and embellish the envelope a bit} Then I opened up my card making program on the computer and found a cute sentiment for the inside of his card.

I'm really looking forward to this "date night" with my hubby. We are all going more than a little stir-crazy around here.

On the subject of birthdays....

My sister gets to celebrate another one - so I made her this card (and envelope).

The piece under "it's your day" is a paint chip sample from one of my local hardware stores - don't remember if it was Lowe's, Home Depot, or maybe even Ace Hardware - but this has become a handy locating tool for my husband when we shop together. He takes off and finds his nuts, bolts or whatever tool he is needing and he comes back to the paint isle to find me happily selecting color combinations for my next project.
