Preparations

My mental lists need to get recorded soon, or I fear my head may actually explode.

On October 1st, I will be participating in a bazaar & I need to decide what exactly I want to bring to sell.   I'm thinking it will be a mixture of hand made gift items; Jamberry samples & craft room destash goodness.

I need to excavate my studio & find the Christmas golf theme trays plus my bird house collection, oh, I should bring some of my magic wallets too.

What kind of items would you want to find at an arts & crafts bazaar?

Girl Friends

I appreciate my girl friends so much! Thank you for always being there for me! I don't know if I express it enough to all of you - but rest assured, you are loved!

Tomorrow at church (http://www.saratogaabundantlife.org/Home.html) we are having our Life Group Rally - that's where we have a room set up with all the groups represented so everyone knows what's being offered. I have the pleasure to be a part of a group called Girlfriends Unlimited. We plan events for ladies 16 years and older - things like country western dance lessons, spa night & other fun activities. I got to use my crafting mojo to update our board for the rally. So if you are a member or find yourself in the area Sunday morning at 9:30 - come on by and check us out.

It's Negative Too Freakin' Cold!!!

Okay, so I realize that I live in the Northeast and it is January - but holy cow!!!

It is soooo unbelievably cold!!!

This picture is from a year ago when we had a ferocious ice storm. I need to take some photos of the ginormous snowbanks the snowplows have helped to create around here!

I just keep focusing my mind on the forecast for the upcoming week - they are calling for temperatures to soar into the 50's - - WOOO HOOO !!! We are going to need to break out the shorts and tank tops!

A Wonderful Retreat Location

http://www.serenityonthelake.com/

This is such a lovely place to hold a retreat. It is nestled in a quiet neighborhood on the lake. I've been there a couple times with our ladies group from church. The house was built specifically to accommodate church groups on retreat. Recently they have suffered from the effects of competition from another larger facility in the area, so they are opening the house to other types of groups (like scrap book enthusiasts, garden clubs, book club, etc). There are six large bedrooms and, if my memory serves me correctly, the place can sleep 20 people.
Wouldn't it be awesome to have a crafting retreat?!? Each lady could bring supplies for everyone to complete a project and we could share our tips and tricks. Something like a stamping pajama party - we could craft until we were tired, nap, eat and craft some more. Sounds like a little slice of heaven to me. What do you think?
