My Memorial Day Projects

Here are a trio of book marks - they slip over the top corner of the page in the book. (Got the template for the green one from Cheeky Magpie and played around with my Fiskars scissors to create the other two)
I also whipped out a bunch of cards:

Now I'm off to get supplies ready for this weekend's Fun Shop

Sneak Peeks
Can't show the entire cards - partly because I don't want to ruin the surprise for Mother's Day & partly because I used a beautiful new TAC stamp which will be in the new catalog coming out in June.....(I Love being an Angel!)
Happy Stamping & Happy Mother's Day (a few days early).

Time Flies!
WOW!
It's the last week of January 2010 - how in the world did THAT happen? (one good side effect = people have stopped saying "happy new year".) Oh, and another upside is that the "month of Sheila" starts soon. More about that later...
I have been crazy busy with my jobs lately. And the drama of being the mother of an almost 18-year-old person gets more fun and interesting every day. I keep my self re-assured with the concept that God uses all things for our good. I used to struggle with trying to understand how that is supposed to work, but lately I have resolved to just trust the idea.
I've recently been playing with fun foam. (above is an example of the project we did for the residents at a local assisted living facility) Just thinking about the gang there makes a smile blossom across my face - it's a blast to cart in a bunch of supplies and sit with them making fun little projects.Speaking of projects...I need to come up with something to show at this Saturday's "Day of Crafting Fun" at Karyn's house. I'm thinking I will share some tips & trick and we can use one of the new TAC stamp sets I have to make a quick & gorgeous card. (full details of the event are posted on Facebook here)
Well, the lunch break is over, so back to being the "Custom Product Specialist"

Rose Collage
I don't know about you, but I have always loved to color. I've recently fallen in love with one of the TAC Hostess Level A stamps called Rose Collage. Tonight I used my Tombow markers and went to town. Then embossed the entire thing with two coats clear embossing powder.

The ribbon looks really too orange in this scanned picture (in real life it is a pretty golden yellow) Plus it's very shiny from the embossing powder.
Last week at a Fun Shop, I showed the ladies how to make a Faux Silk card with the same image...
We stamped the rose on tinted tissue paper which matched our More Mimi card stock so beautifully. We used glue sticks to adhere it to a small piece of card stock & then we got to layering the image. (I really should remember to bring a camera to the Fun Shops - there are real works of art getting produced while we have our stamping fun!)
