Wait - - What?!?
Something I have noticed about motorist in Upstate New York - they tend to give a wide berth to bicycle riders and pedestrians on the side of the road. A really WIDE berth - to the point of driving on the opposite side of the road. All well and good - safety first and all. Anyway....
This morning, as I was driving to work, I saw a pickup truck with flashing lights toting a sign "Wide Load". A short distance behind him is the aforementioned wide load (a mobile home being towed to it's new address) also with flashing lights and hazard flags fluttering. I move to the right and I peek in my rear view mirror to see a full line of cars not budging an inch to the right.
