Led by my husband (a.k.a. "Mr. Meticulous), our boys, Brian and Josh enjoy building models. As a group, they have come to be known as "The Hobby Boyz".
My sweet husband strives for realistic details and when the kit he has purchased doesn't contain the components he wants, he sets about fabricating the desired items. Case in point - the NOS bottle and the racing style seat belts pictured above. Initially he bought a spool of green ribbon to make the seat belts, but it was too wide, so Plan B was invoked and he cut his own out of the green piece of paper-thin plastic shown in the second picture. He has a special magnifying light to assist with these delicate operations.
Oh, and the grid lines you see in the photos - those are half inch squares.
