Here is a project I worked on for the Dad's at my church...A two sided wallet card for them to see what the kids answered to the question: "What is your favorite thing about your Dad?" The multi-colored section was on the inside and the bottom portion is the front & back cover.
This project helped me remember some of the cool and fun stuff about my own dad.
I did an assembly line this year - hubby needed cards for his dad and oldest son, and Josh wanted one for his daddy. Above is the group photo & the individual shots follow:
The inside sentiments...first one went to my father-in-law, the second to Brian...
Oooohhh, wait, you can't really read it in that picture - but it does show the "swing away" action pretty well. Anyway, here is a close-up of the sentiment on Brian's card...
My latest obsession = One-Stroke Painting. I took my first class last week at AC Moore and now I'm looking at most everything in my house wondering what I could paint on it.
The black part in the center is painted with chalkboard paint, so I soon as I can get my hands on some chalk, I will be able to condition it and start using this as a message board to communicate with "the boy" (who has started his summer vacation).
I've never really painted before, and I was more than a little anxious about trying it, but I am pleased with the results. I want to take more classes and keep practicing the techniques. (then maybe my hubby will consent to my grand a glorious plans for altering the bench in our front room.)
Another cool thing about this clipboard - it has a "kick stand" so it can be displayed on a table top. There is also a hole drilled near the top if you prefer to hang the puppy on your wall.
Well guess what, we can play with them again. Follow the link above to The Angel Company's newest download. Print them out on your favorite card stock and have a ball embellishing them to your hearts content. Have fun recapturing part of your childhood.
